Chakras are centres of energy which constantly communicate with each other exchanging information about the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health of the body. We can channel healing energy through the chakras to re-balance on all levels. Animals have eight major chakras and animal chakras are bigger and brighter in relation to their body size than those found in humans. Only touch, or hold the hand over chakras that animals feel comfortable with. Avoid areas of wounds or recent surgery. Because they link to each other, giving healing to any one chakra will effect them all beneficially.
BRACHIAL MAJOR (Key Chakra)
This is the key chakra in animals and directly affects all the other chakras. It is located either side of the body in the shoulder area. It plays an important role in the animal/human bond as well as linking to the forelimbs, head, neck and chest. By giving healing through the chakra we offer the animal peace at the soul level. Chakra color (Black)
CROWN CHAKRA
Located at the top of the head between the ears, it links the pet's life force, or soul energy, with the universal intelligence. Chakra color (Violet or Purple).
BROW CHAKRA.
Located across the forehead above the eyes. It links the pet with nature helping it to understand things that happen in its life. Giving healing through this chakra helps our pet to understand us better too. Chakra color (Indigo).
THROAT CHAKRA.
Located at the back of the neck and also under the lower jaw across the throat area. Healing in this chakra helps prevent negative energy from affecting body, mind and soul. Chakra color (Blue).
HEART CHAKRA.
Located in three places on animals, on the back of the ribcage, the middle of the chest between the front legs, and underneath the chest. Animals who are of have been stressed, grieving or have suffered from abuse will have the energy of the heart chakra blocked. Healing in this area is very important for them. Chakra color (Green).
SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA.
This is the chakra that easily becomes out of balance in animals for many reasons including stress. It is linked to an animal's emotional state and digestive system. The solar plexus chakra is found on the back between the heart chakra and the sacral chakra. Chakra color (Yellow).
SACRAL CHAKRA.
This chakra is links to the crown chakra in terms of life force energy flowing through the spine. A great deal of chaotic emotional energy in animals can be released by giving healing through this chakra. It plays a role in security and nurturing. The sacral chakra is located across the hips. Chakra color (oragne).
BASE CHAKRA.
A very important chakra and by giving healing here we help to 'ground' the animal, helping to make it more secure. It is a chakra that links the animal back to nature after unpleasant or disturbing experiences. The base chakra is located at the end of the back where the tail starts. Chakra color (Red).
